Trump Pardons A Man Convicted Of...Environmental Crimes! And Will SCOTUS Strike Down The President's Tariff Powers?

Episode Summary

President Trump issued a series of pardons to right some historical wrongs committed by the Left. Among others, he pardoned the alternate electors from 2020 whose only "crime" was to stand up for fair elections. He also pardoned a diesel mechanic who removed emissions systems from ailing diesel engines. Wait....what?! Yep, you read that right! Troy Lake of Wyoming committed the egregious sin of deleting emissions controls from broken diesel engines. And for that, the EPA raided his shop, charged him with crimes, and a federal court sentenced him to one year and one day in prison. Enter President Trump, who's on a mission to reverse the weaponization of government, and issued a full pardon to Troy. Speaking of weaponization, the courts also need cleaning up. Will a majority conservative Supreme Court shut down liberal judges' attempts to curtail President Trump's powers to levy tariffs and rebalance America's trade imbalances? Cornell Law Professor William Jacobson is here to talk about that and the latest news from SCOTUS.
